The festival of lights

The festival of Diwali also known as "The festival of lights" signifies the victory of light over darkness , knowledge over ignorance , good over evil. 5th Nov , 2018 morning embarked with vibrancy of festivity at Aakash Public School on the occasion of the festival of Diwali. Many competitions were arranged to make this day memorable such as Toran making , Rangoli making & Lantern making competition for the students of grade VII - XII.

In Toran making competition students completely got involved using their imagination & creativity to transform the tit bits into a fine piece of decorative art. Students of grade VII - VIII participated with great enthusiasm. First position was obtained by Imaginative house. Second position was secured by Constructive house & Third position was shared by Creative house & Innovative house.

Students of grade IX - XII participated in Rangoli making competition with a lot of enthusiasm as they put together their artistic , imaginative & creative skills to make bright & beautiful Rangoli's. Our Students exhibited their flair in the art by making beautiful Rangoli design. The first position was obtained by Innovative house. Second position by Imaginative house & Third position by Constructive house.

Students of grade IX - XII participated in La ntern making competition. Students brought their material & crafted beautiful Lanterns using various techniques of folding & cutting papers used disposal glasses , glass bottle , wooden frame , wool etc. They later enlivened the Lanterns with lights & colorful embellishments. It was a visual treat to see the children giving wings to their imagination. First position was grabbed by Imaginative house. Second position was secured by Innovative house & Third position by Creative house. The Participants & winners were seen smiling excitedly cheering each other. It was a delightful experience for the students. The Principal Mr. Sanjeev Bhardwaj motivated Children by giving them complement " Children have been very Creative & have put in a lot of hard work. They have maintained the spirit of Diwali & have showcased their talents. He also advised the students to celebrate pollution free Diwali by not bursting crackers.
